Reagan and the Unfolding Iran-Contra Story
Here we go again. The Iran-contra fiasco sounds like the makings of another Watergate. It has the same scenario with a different follow-up.
Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein will write a book entitled, “The Gipper Goofed.†There will be an investigation and the pressure from the news media and public will force Reagan to resign.
A movie adapted from the book by Woodward and Bernstein will be made, starring Tom Hayden and Jane Fonda as Ronnie and Nancy.
Ted Kennedy will be elected President in 1988. He will appoint Ed Asner as his secretary of state. Ed will convince Ted to keep a hands-off policy in Central America. The Russians will take over Central America and Mexico. They will build a wall all along the border to stop the mass exodus of refugees streaming northward.
President Kennedy will make a statement echoing the words of President Franklin D. Roosevelt that “all we have to fear is fear itself.â€
