City officials are seeking a location for a 22-foot, two-ton likeness of the Statue of Liberty, donated to the city this year by an El Monte physician.
The City Council recently asked the city’s Public Works Department to find an appropriate place for the statue and expects a recommendation at its next council meeting Dec. 23, officials said. The fiberglass statue is valued at $20,000.
