Rosemead : School Board Elects Officers

Virginia Gutierrez was elected president of the Garvey School District Board of Education at its annual reorganization meeting. Bob Miranda was elected vice president and Gil Barron was elected clerk. The other board members are Judy Chu and Jim Smith.
The board also voted to change its regular meeting dates from the first and third Tuesday of the month to the first and third Thursday. The district covers parts of Rosemead, San Gabriel and Monterey Park.
