Fred Goporo scored 23 points to lead Houston Baptist to a season-opening 74-66 victory over Southern California College Saturday night in Sharp Gymnasium at Houston. Jon Harr scored 27 points in a losing effort for the Vanguards (2-1).
Biola 78, Wayland Baptist 76--Johnny Griffin scored 34 points to lead the Eagles to the victory at La Mirada.
