Wahl Leads USIU in Golf Tournament

Jim Wahl of United States International University had a 36-hole total of 139 Tuesday to win the San Diego Intercollegiate tournament at Singing Hills Country Club in El Cajon.

Wahl was nine strokes ahead of Demetrio Carrasco of SDSU and Mike Graham of the San Diego Golf Academy, who both finished at 148. USIU’s Tom Rasmussen was third (149) and teammate Orin Brown fourth (150).

Wahl helped USIU win the team competition, 14 strokes ahead of second-place San Diego Golf Academy. San Diego State was third.
