Unlike Mike Nesmith’s low-budget laugh-a-thon “Elephant Parts,” this 82-minute video from his company is an expensive-looking production featuring big comedy names like Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, Bob Goldthwaite et al. Alternating extended sketches and five-second blackouts, “Sauce” earns both yuks (Ed Begley Jr. as the first surfer Pope) and yawns (soft-rock videos from Jimmy Buffett and Rosanne Cash).
