A reporter for the government’s Radio Marti, Annette Lopez-Munoz, said she was banished from the White House and threatened with dismissal after Administration officials objected to a question she asked President Reagan at his televised news conference Wednesday night. Radio Marti, an adjunct to Voice of America, broadcasts to Cuba and Central America. Representatives of government-run media in the past have been barred from questioning the President, but Lopez-Munoz broke the unwritten rule and asked Reagan whether he might consider changing U.S. policy toward Nicaragua, in light of the recent policy shift on Iran. Reagan said no.
