Aman stole jewelry worth more than $25,000 in Reseda Wednesday by shoving a jewelry wholesaler to the ground in a parking lot and taking her briefcase, Los Angeles police said.

The wholesaler, a 40-year-old woman who was not identified, entered the parking lot at 19337 Victory Blvd. to do business at a nearby jewelry store, Detective Robert Salcido said.

The briefcase was in her hand as she left her car at 11:15 a.m. Then she was approached by a man who told her he had a gun, Salcido said. But the woman saw no gun and tried to push past the robber, he said.

The man then grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her to the ground, leaving her slightly dazed, Salcido said. When the woman stood up, the man was gone and so was the briefcase, he said.

Police were without suspects or witnesses, he said.
