Bus Gridlock

When will something be done by the Los Angeles Police Department, such as citing RTD bus drivers who pull their vehicles across intersections downtown causing gridlock?
The other evening at 5:40 p.m. my car-pooler and I sat through five light changes at Hope and 7th Streets without moving an inch, all due to the fact that each time the light turned green in our direction an RTD bus would pull across the intersection through the red light and obstruct traffic from moving in any direction. Everyone started honking their horns at the buses, but of course it did no good.
The RTD drivers need to go to school to be taught how to drive, especially on the downtown streets of Los Angeles.
