Second Seabrook Plant Reactor to Be Scrapped

SEABROOK, N.H. — Owners of the Seabrook nuclear power plant have decided to scrap the facility’s second reactor on which construction has been stalled more than three years, a spokesman for the owners said Friday. Seabrook’s owners had invested $800 million in the second reactor, which was 25% complete when construction was stopped.
