Beverly Hills : Outdoor Program Honored

The William O. Douglas Outdoor Classroom and its founding president, Sooky Goldman, have received the Take Pride in America Award presented by the National Park Service to recognize community contributions.
Last year the outdoor classroom conducted education programs for more than 20,000 people, focusing on inner-city children. One of its more popular programs is Babes in the Woods, which provides environmental education for parents with toddlers.
