Duke Leads USD in Soccer Victory
SAN DIEGO — Chris Duke scored a goal and assisted on another Thursday to lead the University of San Diego to a 2-1 victory over Cal State San Bernardino in a nonconference college soccer match at USD.
Duke’s goal, 15 minutes into the second half, snapped a 1-1 tie and came after a crossing pass by Mark Fenick. In the first half, Duke and James Kyle had combined to set up Eric Duetsch for a 1-0 USD lead.
Cal State San Bernardino tied the game on a goal by Trevor Coleman early in the second half.
USD is 15-3-1. San Bernardino is 11-7.
