Grass-roots efforts nationwide are helping win the war against pornography, leaders of the movement said in Chicago at a breakfast featuring words of support from President Reagan via satellite. Pornography is “vicious and dangerous†and “harms women and children,†Reagan said in the address to the breakfast sponsored by Chicago Statement, an anti-pornography advocacy group, in observance of National Pornography Awareness Week. In the brief address broadcast live via satellite to 50 cities, Reagan praised plans by Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III to “break the back†of pornography.
