Oklahoma City, seeking the 1989 U.S. Olympic Festival as part of its centennial celebration, was the only finalist chosen by a site selection panel.
The recommendation will go to the the U.S. Olympic Committee’s executive board, which will make the final decision on the site for the 1989 Festival at its Nov. 23 meeting in Reno.
