USD, Looking to Rebound, Plays Azusa Pacific

SAN DIEGO — The University of San Diego football team, coming off a loss last weekend, plays at Azusa Pacific at 1:30 today.
The Toreros (3-2) were beaten at home last week by Claremont Mudd, 13-9. USD gave up 321 yards in total offense.
USD’s only touchdown came on a five-yard pass from quarterback Pat Dixon to wide receiver Jeff Mansukhani, who has caught a touchdown pass in each of USD’s games this season.
Azusa Pacific (2-0-2) is the nation’s 14th-ranked Division II team. The Cougars are led by 6-foot 2-inch, 250-pound running back Christian Okoye, who has eight touchdowns this season. Okoye has rushed for 584 yards on 85 carries, an average of 6.8 yards per carry.
