A pedestrian being questioned by a Garden Grove police officer suffered minor injuries Friday when he was hit by the patrolman’s car after it was struck by a suspected drunk driver, police said.
Terrence Lee Hickey, 28, was being questioned by Officer Dennis Stanfield at 12:32 a.m. on Garden Grove Boulevard when a van hit the patrol vehicle, knocking it onto the sidewalk and into Hickey, according to Police Lt. Larry Hodges.
The driver of the van, Hyo Kevn Lee, 32, of Garden Grove was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving, Hodges said.
Hickey, who was treated at Garden Grove Medical Center for cuts and bruises, was later arrested on outstanding warrants not related to the accident, Hodges said.
