A Yugoslav court sentenced a naturalized American citizen to seven years in prison for anti-Yugoslav activities, the official Tanjug news agency reported. Peter Ivezaj, 30, of Sterling Heights, Mich., was jailed in August while in the country visiting relatives. Ivezaj, an ethnic Albanian, was accused of participating in anti-Yugoslav demonstrations in Detroit, Chicago and Washington. A State Department official said the United States is outraged and demanded Ivezaj’s release.
