Woman’s Body Found After Son Is Arrested

Police found the badly decomposed body of a Long Beach woman Tuesday after detectives in Anadarko, Okla., notified Long Beach officers that they had the woman’s 18-year-old son in custody, authorities said.
The body of Irene Keith, 43, was found in a chamber leading to a sewer line behind her home, said Detective Bill MacLyman. She had been reported missing Thursday when she did not show up to work at Long Beach’s Brooks College, where she headed the interior design department.
Anadarko police arrested Steven Martin Keith on Tuesday after they found him driving his mother’s missing car.
