PacBell bought 24.5% of a software firm.

The Pacific Telesis subsidiary purchased the stake in Integrated Technology, based in Plano, Tex., and also entered into an agreement with it and another shareholder, Tandem Computers, to develop advanced telecommunications network systems for Pacific Bell’s telecommunications network in California. Under the agreement, Tandem will increase its holding in the firm to equal Pacific Bell’s.
