Chad Peterson, Northeast Louisiana University’s starting tight end, has been kicked off the team after his arrest on a charge of distribution of cocaine.
Peterson, 21, and five others were arrested in connection with a two-month undercover operation.
Coach Pat Collins said Peterson, freed on a $5,000 bond, had been dismissed from the team and was in the process of resigning from the university.
