Santa Ana Replaces Westminster as No. 1

Santa Ana High School, coming off a 29-6 victory over Newport Harbor, has replaced Westminster as the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. high school football poll.
Westminster dropped from the top position to sixth after the Lions were tied, 14-14, by eighth-ranked Valencia in the season opener.
In the featured game this week, Santa Ana plays seventh-ranked Saddleback at 7:30 Friday night in Santa Ana Stadium.
