Arias, Annacone, Anger to Play at Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Jimmy Arias, Paul Annacone and Matt Anger have entered the first Scottsdale Open tennis tournament set for next month here.
The 23-man field already includes John McEnroe and Tim Mayotte and is scheduled Oct. 6-12.
Annacone, ranked No. 18 in the world, rose to prominence recently by beating McEnroe in the first round of the U.S. Open.
Arias is ranked 28th in the world with Anger at No. 29.
The $279,000 tourney, which also will feature at 16-team doubles event, will be held at the new Camelview resort here.
