Patrizio Oliva of Italy, World Boxing Assn. junior welterweight champion, defeated American challenger Brian Brunette on a technical knockout late in the third round at Naples, Italy.
The fight at Naples Sports Palace ended when Brunette’s manager--his brother, Tom--stepped into the fray to protect Brunette (23-1) from a hail of lefts and rights by Oliva (47-0).
