Local News in Brief : Sylmar Man, 24, Found Stabbed to Death

A 24-year-old Sylmar man was stabbed to death, but investigators have not been able to determine a motive or suspect in the slaying, Los Angeles police said Friday.
The man, Robert Hoffman, was found dead by patrol officers at his house in the 14400 block of Astoria Street about 4 p.m. Thursday, Lt. Bob Stemples said.
The investigation is continuing, Stemples said.
