Former Raider linebacker Jack Squirek, a hero of Super Bowl XVII, was signed by the Miami Dolphins after being released by the Raiders. Squirek, 27, intercepted a Joe Theismann pass with seven seconds left in the first half of the 1985 game and returned it 5 yards for a touchdown.
Last season, however, Squirek was not much of a factor as he made only 15 tackles and intercepted one pass. Miami released two-year linebacker Alex Moyer to make room for Squirek.
