Santa Fe Springs : City to Relocate Pipelines
- Share via
The City Council, acting as the Redevelopment Agency, agreed to pay $50,000 to relocate pipelines belonging to Sage Energy Co. on the site of the proposed Heritage Corporate Center.
Sage operates three oil wells on the site at the corner of Norwalk Boulevard and Telegraph Road. The temporary removal of the pipelines was needed during construction of the center, which began in June. The 67-acre corporate center will include office buildings, light industrial buildings, restaurants, a day-care center and a historical park.
The agency also agreed to advance the money to Sage so that work could begin Tuesday. The first phase of the corporate center--which includes 12 light industrial buildings--is expected to be completed by March.
