Turkey Gets Dam Loan

WASHINGTON — A $132-million loan will help Turkey build a dam and a major hydroelectric plant for the Cukorova region in the southeastern part of the country, the World Bank announced Thursday. The entire project will cost an estimated $259.1 million. The loan is for 17 years, with variable interest beginning at 8.23% a year.
