Government Offices to Close in Observance of Labor Day

All municipal, county, state and federal offices will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.
Post offices, public libraries and banks will also be closed.
Metered parking on city streets will not been enforced. Trash pickup will be one day later throughout the week.
Five of the city’s fishing lakes--El Capitan, Miramar, Otay, Sutherland and Hodges--will be open from sunrise to sunset. Lake Murray will be open for picnicking only.
The San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park and Sea World will be open Monday.
Special activities planned for the holiday weekend include the Street Scene ‘86, an open-air concert from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at Kettner Boulevard and F Street.
Also, downtown La Jolla will be the scene of a block party beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday on Wall Street. And an old-time country fair will be held in the lawn area around the Kit Carson Park amphitheater in Escondido on Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
