Four foreigners who are members of the Children of God religious sect have been ordered to leave China because they promoted sexual promiscuity among young people, the New China News Agency said. It quoted the Public Security Bureau in Guangdong province bordering Hong Kong as saying the four had been teaching foreign languages in Canton colleges. The bureau did not name them or give their nationalities. Hong Kong newspapers have recently carried articles about religious cults in which young women were said to lure recruits through sexual favors.
