Chapman Soccer Team Rated 11th in Nation

Chapman College is ranked third on the West Coast and 11th in the nation among Division II men’s soccer teams in the preseason ISAA/Adidas National Coaches Polls.

Defending national champion Seattle Pacific is first in both polls, receiving 179 points and 11 of 12 first-place votes in the national listing. Chapman received 40 points in the national poll and 11 in the Far West voting. Defending California Collegiate Athletic Assn. champion Cal State Northridge is sixth in the nation and second in the Far West.

Chapman will open its 1986 season Sept. 4 when it plays host to the Far West Classic. Seattle Pacific will be among eight teams competing in that tournament.
