A bomb exploded at a fashionable beach resort in East Beirut, injuring at least one person, in the latest in a series of attacks apparently aimed at wealthy Christians. According to militia sources, the explosion, the 23rd in the Lebanese capital this year, ripped through the ground floor of an apartment building adjacent to the Golden Beach Hotel, one of several beach clubs in the suburb of Antelias. Some residents attributed the attack to unrest within the Lebanese Forces, a Christian militia.
