The Chicago Bulls traded forward Sidney Green to the Detroit Pistons for forward Earl Cureton and a second-round pick in the 1987 National Basketball Assn. draft.
Green, 6 feet 9 inches, was the Bulls’ No. 1 pick in the 1983 draft. He averaged 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds a game in his three seasons in Chicago. Cureton averaged 8.6 points and 6.3 rebounds last season.
