13 Injured When Fleeing Burning Jet at Denver

DENVER — An engine on a TWA jetliner caught fire when the plane was taxiing after landing at Stapleton International Airport, and 13 passengers were injured during the plane’s evacuation, authorities said Friday. Greg Feith, an investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, said the fire Thursday night resulted from a “residual fuel buildup in the tailpipe of the engine.”
