An 18-year-old El Cajon man was killed in a five-car collision on northbound Interstate 5 near Lomas Santa Fe Drive.
Renaldo Harper, 18, suffered severe head injuries at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday when his pickup truck collided with a car, then was hit from behind by a semi in heavy traffic. The semitrailer struck a door lying in Harper’s truck bed, driving the door through the rear window of the pickup and hitting Harper in the head.
Two other cars also collided during the incident, but no other serious injuries were reported.
