The Regents of the University of California have approved changing the name of the UCLA architecture building to Harvey S. Perloff Hall.
Perloff was dean of the UCLA architecture school from 1968 until his death in 1983. He was also a popular figure on campus. Petitions supporting the building’s name change were submitted by the school’s students, faculty, staff and alumni.
