The California Highway Patrol says it stopped 32 tour buses near Lake Tahoe in four hours and put three of them out of service for safety violations. The CHP said the drivers of 22 of the buses were issued a total of 47 citations. Officer Dick Fridley said the most frequent violations involved brakes and steering. The stops occurred in the eastbound lanes of California 50 near the Meyers Agricultural Inspection Station.
