Isao Aoki Wins Japanese Golf Title

KANI, Japan — Japan’s veteran pro Isao Aoki shot a three-under-par 69 Sunday for a 16-under-par 272 total and won the $318,000 Japan Professional Golf Assn. championship by four strokes.
It was the 44-year-old Aoki’s third victory in the JPGA championship.
Aoki started Sunday’s final round three strokes ahead of runner-up Masashi (Jumbo) Ozaki.
Aoki, who received a top prize of $57,000, shot four birdies over the par-72, 6,806-yard Nihon Line Golf Country Club’s west course.
Ozaki had a 70 for a 276 and collected $31,800 for second place.
