Anaheim : Hit-and-Run Motorist Critically Injures Boy, 2
A 2-year-old Anaheim boy was in critical condition Sunday after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist while pedaling a tricycle in front of his home, police said.
The boy, whose identity was not released, was struck by a van making a U-turn in the 600 block of East Avon Place, Lt. Jack Parra said.
Witnesses said the boy was struck as he rode his tricycle near the curb.
The boy was treated by paramedics and taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he was in critical condition in intensive care, police said.
Witnesses described the van as light blue with an aluminum ladder on the rear door. Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a vehicle, matching that description with a partial California license, 888 -UH.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
