The U.S. government has ordered an Iranian diplomat at the United Nations expelled from the country for “illegal activities counter to the security interests of the United States,” spokesman Richard C. Hottelet said. He identified the diplomat as Alireza Deyhim, listed as counselor in the Iranian U.N. Mission, but would not disclose any details. A diplomatic source said he understood Deyhim was involved in attempting to force repayment from an Iranian exile in this country who took money with a promise to deliver U.S. arms.
