Fruehauf Corp. said its second-quarter profit skidded 73% from a year earlier despite a 4% revenue gain. Fruehauf, which makes truck trailers and other cargo containers, blamed the earnings decline in part on disruptions caused by an unwelcome takeover bid by New York investor Asher B. Edelman.
