Kennedy Tournament to Begin July 26

Servite High School forward Tony Smalley, Lakewood guard Duane Cooper and Fullerton center Greg Wilbert will be featured in the Kennedy High Summer Basketball Invitational beginning July 26 in the Irish gym.

The 16-team tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the championship game scheduled for 6 p.m. July 27. All consolation games will be played at Walker Junior High. The first-round pairings:

9:30 a.m.--Kennedy vs. Fullerton; 10:30--Savanna vs. West Torrance; 11:30--Magnolia vs. Hart; 12:30 p.m.--Quartz Hill vs. Bear Creek, Colo.; 2--Servite vs. South Torrance; 3--Western vs. Don Lugo; 4--Canyon vs. Cerritos; 5--Norco vs. Lakewood.
