Laguna Bank increased its middle management recently after two executives left and also has increased efforts to drum up new business at its home base in Laguna Beach and in the Saddleback Valley, according to Charles E. Keneley, president and chief executive.
Robert C. Lay, Jr. was hired as vice president for marketing and business development, a new position, and H. Kent Falk and Terry L. Owens were hired as vice presidents for commercial lending, replacing Christopher J. McCullough and Judi Goulart, both of whom resigned to join Pacific Regency Bank.
Lay, 31, of Mission Viejo held a similar position at Foothill Independent Bank in Glendora. Falk, 32, of San Juan Capistrano held similar positions at Landmark and Southwest banks. Owens, 39, of Irvine was vice president and manager of First American Bank & Trust in Laguna Beach.
The bank also added two local residents, insurance agent George F.J. Hill, Jr. and retired civil engineer Harold W. Sorensen, to its 10-member advisory board, which tries to get new business for the bank and advises the board of directors.
