Authorities on Sunday were trying to determine the identity of a young woman who died after she either fell or jumped from a slow-moving pickup truck in the Agoura area.
Witnesses told sheriff’s deputies that the vehicle was traveling about 15 m.p.h. on Mulholland Highway east of Cornell Road about 3 p.m. Saturday when they saw the woman’s body hit the pavement. After hesitating briefly, the truck’s driver sped away, Deputy Roxanna Schugman said.
The woman was a Latina in her early 20s, detectives said. She carried no identification.
She may have been intoxicated, Schugman said. However, detectives said they believe her death was accidental.
