A fast-moving brush fire in Tecolote Canyon threatened homes on two streets and in a mobile home park before 50 firefighters brought it under control Sunday afternoon.
The blaze, which began shortly before 4 p.m. near the 17th tee of the Tecolote Canyon Golf Course in Linda Vista, worked its way up two finger canyons, fueled by winds and brush, San Diego Fire Department spokesman Larry Stewart said.
It threatened homes on Sendero Way and Osler Street before firefighters brought it under control about an hour later. No injuries were reported.
The Fire Department’s Metro Arson Strike team was investigating witnesses’ reports Sunday evening that a person was seen in the area before the fire started.
