605 Game--The La Mirada Kiwanis Club has taken over management of the 605 All-Star Football Game and has decided to play an East vs. West format. Under the previous sponsor, the Whittier Kiwanis, the game pitted players from schools bordering the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in a North-South format. The 19th meeting of the series will be July 18 at La Mirada High School Stadium. Teams will be composed of players from the San Gabriel Valley, Suburban and Whitmont leagues, and from parochial schools in the Southeast area.
