Car Smashes Into Vegas Casino; 15 Injured
LAS VEGAS — A car slammed through the window of a small casino on the Strip Sunday afternoon, injuring 15 people, the most serious a woman who lost an eye, police said.
The accident occurred when a worker at the Circus Circus casino asked Beulah Jackson, 66, of New Castle, Del., to move her car, Lt. Randy Oaks said. As she slid across to the driver’s seat, the car slipped into gear, Oaks said.
The car lurched forward, struck two pedestrians outside Circus Circus, then struck a brick wall and plowed through the window of the Slots-A-Fun casino next door, injuring 13 slot machine players, Oaks said.
