Work Begun on Business Center in San Diego

Construction has begun at Pacific Corporate Center, a 125-acre, master-planned business park on the north side of Mira Mesa Boulevard in San Diego, just east of Interstates 5 and 805 and overlooking the Sorrento Valley.
When fully developed, the center will contain more than 3 million square feet of space for corporate headquarters, general offices, light manufacturing and industrial, high-tech research and development, and commercial uses. It is expected to represent a value of $450 million. The first phase, including the infrastructure, scheduled for completion early next year, will cost $39 million.
Howard, Howard & Barnard Inc. is managing partner of Pacific Corporate Associates-II, the developer. The land planner is Turrini & Brink Planning Consultants, the landscape architect is Roger De Weese Inc., the general contractor is Nielsen Construction Co., the civil engineer is VTN/San Diego and the sales representative is Herbert Kostlan.
