Burger Named Chancellor of William & Mary College

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Retiring Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren E. Burger has been elected chancellor of the College of William & Mary, school officials said Friday. Burger, 78, announced last week that he will retire from the court July 10 so he can devote himself full time to the Commission on the Bicentennial of the Constitution, which he chairs.
