ART MUSEUM RECEIVES GRANT
The Newport Harbor Art Museum has received a $75,000 grant from the Institute of Museum Services, an affiliate of the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities.
The Newport Beach museum was one of 107 museums to receive $75,000 awards, the highest grant amount given this year by the institute, according to Kevin Consey, Newport Harbor’s director.
Consey also announced that a $30,000 grant has been awarded by the Newport Beach City Council, the largest amount the city has given to any arts program.
Both grants will be used for general operations at the museum, which is located in Newport Center.
