The American Medical Assn. called for warning labels on alcoholic beverages similar to those on cigarette packages, and urged the liquor industry to act responsibly in its advertising. “Don’t glamorize alcohol to children,” said Dr. James Sammons, executive vice president of the AMA. The vote of the AMA’s House of Delegates came during its meeting in Chicago.
